So I have a customer that’s been wanting a Tiger angel in the 5” plus size range. I asked him to show me his tank and I’m looking for opinions. Would you sell this guy a Tiger/Kingi angel for this tank? He’s got a 40 gallon sump btw. Attached is a photo of his tank and a photo of the fish he wants for those who aren’t familiar with Tiger angels.
Thanks and appreciate your honest opinions.

I think your customer has a pretty big bioload at this point also there's not many places for fish to hide if there's problems.
My first comment to him was lack of structure. Not to mention he’s really pushing it!

He says he separates his fish with dividers if they fight. Seems he spends most of his time at home with his fish. This is definitely an interesting situation.

Yikes. An Achilles tang with a powder blue? Blood bath.

Too many large tangs in that small tank.

That delicate moorish idol needs peaceful tankmates.

He has excellent taste in fish, just needs to decide on the fish style. If he likes his acantharus tangs he should rehome the moorish and choose between the powder and achillies.

Idk if u have that amount of cash to splash on a fish, upgrade the tank man. Just sayin
Couldn’t agree more. He doesn’t have room in his apartment for another tank but maybe bigger would work.

I agree....I do give him credit for doing as well as he has thus far.

@Eric Cohen good for you by being conscientious
We are all stewards after all......to be totally candid, although I do care very much for the fish, I have been doing this long enough to know when I smell a problem in the making. I'd love to say that I am just being thoughtful, and I guess I am to a point, but let's say I just turn a blind eye, and just sell him the fish. We work our butts off to condition it for 30 days, and then he adds it to this tank and starts world war 3! Then he blames me for the fish being too weak to fight for itself, and everyone is unhappy. I like to avoid problems when possible.....so I tend to ask questions and do my best to use experience in my favor:)

I have a great solution. Send the Desjardin's and Moorish Idol to me. That will free up a bit of space while the customer works on their upgrade to accommodate the new angel.
