If your parameters if a mixed reef tank were dKH: 6.5, Ca: 415 and Mg: 1300 would you dose? I do 10% - 15% water changes every 10 - 14 days so they stay pretty constant. I'm thinking it's not worth the effort until my stock increases to the point that the alk and Ca are getting absorbed faster than the water changes replenish. Thoughts?

dont fix it if its not broke... lol i wouldnt dose till necessary to avoid over-dosing ,if your system is happy leave it alone.

You might want to bump up your alkalinity a bit. Your calcium and alkalinity work together to keep each stable. 8.4 dkh and calcium at 430 is a good level to be at.

I think your dkh and ca could use a little bump, otherwise you should be alright.

I keep my dkh around 11 and calcium around 450-475.

Agree alk. could use a bump but I wouldn't shoot for 11 dKh. 7.5 to 8 is better IMO. What do you mean by "they stay pretty constant"? What's your bioload like and your tank size? Also, what are you keeping (different types of coral have more or less intolerance to parameter swings)?
