Would you put a ball nem back in your tank?

I discovered this ball nem in my tank, attached to a snail shell, would you put it back in your tank?

I posted this here in soft corals, since ball nems are not actually anemones, they are corillimorphs, which are technically not soft corals either, but mushrooms seem to be considered soft corals, so....move this post if needed. By the way, I think this is a Red Reef Corillimorph.

It's pretty cool, so I kinda don't want to dump it, but some ball nems are said to multiply rapidly. Thoughts?

I have a few in my 180 and no issues with them. They are under rocks and haven’t spread much. That is me though. Others have them go nuts, so it really all depends on the tank.

I would put it back in the tank. I have several that stay out of the light, and out of the flow. You really have to look for them to see them. They seem to prefer the darker areas of the tank that have nearly 0 flow.

Never seen them get out of control.

Aka a strawberry nem. Not a bad thing imo. I think theres 2 diff sub species or whatever. Im not a zoologoist..but 1 is.colonial and the other is not so much. Id have to google or look in my books. Lol

I have had them in my system for years and they never show up on lighted areas, don’t get big and don’t grow out of control. I’d say keep it. They’re cool to spot every now and then.

I have them in my tank. Dark areas low flow. They are a mushroom that explains low flow.

Would be cool to have a picco/nano dedicated to tiny ball nems (corallimorphs).
I have the strawberry nems giant cousin, paracorynactis hoplites, living in a dedicated sump chamber cause it’s just so cool! It looks pretty under whites, doesn’t glow under blues and is a voracious eater.

Yea, this guy was back in the corner behind a giant rock of GSP where there is very little light.
