Would you say these corals are dead ?

This has been my first saltwater tank, I bought a light not good enough for the corals, finally upgraded and finally out of red so it could be installed. However 2 corals haven't faired well because of this, I'm adding pictures but I'm pretty sure they are goners. Purple and teal maze frag that came in awful too, but I didn't help it either, and a dragon soul favia which I'm like 100 percent sure is done. Also because my light wasn't good enough and nutrient levels I had a bad cyano outbreak, added another wave maker etc, work at it every day. But it seems the new light is starting to make it go away, am I going crazy or does that happen sometimes ?

I bought chemiclean, and 4 trochus snails, but I wanna wait and see if the snails and flow help before chemical stuff

Corals can comne back from the dead but it takes perfect water, light and a long time.
I dont use chemicals to fix a prob caused by something i can fix without them .
I think it destroys your tank balance and usually the prob comes right back

Reefs are a bunch of dead and living coral

You gave me hope they aren't leaving my tank, my husband loved the dragon soul favia so I am determined to bring it back

Api, why?

API notorious for giving false readings and have disappointed many aquarists hence the very low cost of their test kits. I found it odd that some levels were up such as nitrate and phos yet Zero ammonia. You may be getting false reading which adversely are affecting your corals which I suspected was API

I would strongly recommend taking a good water sample to a trusted LFS that does Not use API for testing and see what they come up with on Ammonia-nitrate-ph-Phophate- alk and to compare with your readings

I'm not surprised at any of my levels, api gets good reviews. Nitrate should be around 5 to 10 ppm, phosphate is known to build in reef tanks, plus I'm an over feeder. The tank is cycled so of course my amonia and nitrite are at zero. I'm just really confused how some of the levels are confusing to you. It was the poor light I had that hurt the corals, at least imo thats the case

Whose giving api good reviews???? People buy api because it is cheap, not because it is accurate.

Also your coral looks ok to me, I've got lots of corals just like it

i spot fed it reef roids, soup from frozen foods, and once it was trying to gobble down an antenna shed from my skunk shrimp, I pulled that out
