Maracyn 2 = minocycline

It can safely be mixed with Maracyn (erythromycin).

Ok I bought maracyn 1 & 2 and will start treatment tomorrow. My QT is filthy so I had to clean it, bunch of detritus so I need to test ammonia first.

It has been two weeks of maracyn 1&2. The red patches are still there, but more grey and faded. Meds are getting expensive, so I'm thinking of just getting another box of M2 instead of both. I also got a 4 days worth of this stuff from my LFS so I may try metro+kanamycin and this again if I run out of M2.

Any thoughts? I'll try to get a pic later.

Looking back over this thread, I'm confused. Have you ever treated with Furan + Kanaplex + metro for this?

Yes that was the first thing I did. I did one 5 day treatment for kanaplex and metro, and a week or a little more with furan-2.

Since you have nitrofurazone, I would give that a go for 10 days next.

Been treating with furan-2, LFS was running low on the other brand of nitrofurazone. Red spots still there.

If this doesn't work, I'm afraid I will have to give up on this fish. I've already spent more on antibiotics than I paid for this fish ($60). It is acting and eating completely normally at least, maybe it will resolve itself in time. IDK what else to do.
