Would you switch from an Alpha Vertex 250 for

Would you switch from an Alpha Vertex 250 for a ATB 10.5 Deluxe Skimmer? My Alpha is on a 300 gallon tank.

My lfs called to order a flow star pump and he said the owner told him that ATB USA will be closing down soon. That's all that I know.

Vertex going out of business had been a long standing rumor... don't buy it. They aren't going anywhere soon.

We are talking about ATB going out of business not Vertex. Wrasse, how long ago did your lfs tell you this?

I emailed Victor at ATB and in true fashion he responded immediately but unfortunately he confirmed the rumor and ATB NA closed their doors last month. I'm going to email ATB in Europe to see if they have plans to set up with a new distributor. Not only are their skimmers amazing, Victors customer service was alway above and beyond my expectations.

Definitely was a shock to me and based on your signature (which needs some updating for your lights...lol) it looks like you're a big fan of ATB.

I currently own 2 ATB's and I think they're great skimmers (although I just bought a Reef Octopus DC-2 to try). And youre correct Sir...my sig definately needs to be updated! =)
