For 20+ Years I’ve wanted a clown trigger. The LFS has a little clown trigger I’m tempted by. I’ve read success stories of clowns in a mixed reef. So question is should I??

200 gallon display full of SPS, LPS etc. have a blue jaw already and 20 or so other fish. Smallest is a mandarin and a fire goby. Two cleaner shrimp, a harlequin shrimp, 50 ish snails, 3 conches….Thoughts?

They are beautiful fish and I’ve always wanted one as well .
but always read they are hit or miss .
they can be reef safe if there are no smaller fish , snails or crabs .

others have reported success keeping them with small fish and inverts .
Each one is missing

Pretty they are but do expect it to burrow within coral to establish a zone and hiding spot

Vette guy,
Have you kept one before in a mixed reef? I have rock tunnels etc but also several SPS colonies. Guess no way of knowing where it would want to burrow.
