$3 USD PER POUND

$7500 worth of tears...

I think more like 75... We as hobbiest in the great old USA pay a premium. We catches the whole sale mark up vender marke up so a origional 50 dollar fish goes up too 200. Then we also pay for shipping 3-4 times on these. Now the islands that catch these to survive pay next to nothing or catch them themself. I assure you this isn't some guy in IL who bought 50 at his LFS to cook.

I see nothing wrong with this its no different then us slaughtering cows and eating chickens. They eat fish from there region just as we do here

Didn't even know they're edible. It's sad but I know this is perfectly normal in their part of the world. Makes you wonder what other ornamental fishes are being consumed on a regular basis. :(

Maybe they are thinking which one of our food are those main-lander keeping as pet...

I know triggers end up on plates and I'm sure there are others too. It's like in some cultures man's best friend is on the menu. It's not up to us to say whether it's right or wrong but it still doesn't seem right.

Food is food... Here in the upper midwest we eat Walleye, Northern, Perch, Crappy, Bluegill, and many others. This is their food supply. I can say though that I have never pulled a walleye out of the lake that had colors like the Achilles Tang.

The guy who caught them maid about 25 cents a pound.???? if that.

See mantis shrimp, gobies, and a few other "reef" fish all the time when you got to places like 99 Ranch.
