Probably because it's imported, it's no where near that expensive in the US.

Its the shipping that drives the price up. It would be even more expensive to have UWC ship it directly to an individual in the UK.

I don't know.... £55 is what? $75? Might not be as bad as that in total....??

I just ran it through UPS's calculator. The lowest cost I could get from Wisconsin to London was $30GBP. And there is a 20% VAT on top of that. Converting to USD would be $78USD
