I have had a Lubbocks wrasse for about a month now in QT. Th fish ended up getting a swim bladder disease and has been through the ringer with antibiotics. It went through 14 days of furan 2 and is now on day 7 of being fed a combination of metro, kanaplex, reef chili, selcon, garlic extract mixed with focus.

There has definitely been an improvement. The fish has gone from floating upside down at the water surface to floating upside down on the bottom of the tank. It is now able to get itself flipped upright, is eating quite well by hand but spends most of its time on its side. The fish has a sore on its side that has been getting a bit redder.

first question- any thoughts on what to do with the red spot? I have more furan and plenty of metro and kanaplex. Also have melafix and pimafix.

second question- how long should I give this guy? I have been determined to get him healthy but don’t want a fish that doesn’t swim and needs to be hand fed for however long it lives.
