Wrasse Compatability Question

So I recently won a 100$ gift certificate to live aquaria from the great people at R2R. I want to add some more wrasses to my tank.

I currently have 1 : Melanurus Wrasse and 1: Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse - MALE

I was thinking about adding the following:

Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse, Juvenile/Female (Indonesia) - Medium

Multicolor Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse

Blue Star Leopard Wrasse, Female (Maldives) - Medium

Do you think there will be any compatibility issues?

My second question is that I have a larger aclimation box that i can cut up into 3 sections there not very big though. Do you think i should get a second box and put 2 in 1 and the last one in another? Or can they all go in the smae box? looks like this:

The last question is how long do you leave them in the box for?

Adding the second solorensis could be a problem, but it shouldn't be much of one so long as the fish you get is a juvi.

The lubbocki is a pretty safe add.

The bipartitus might face harassment from your melanurus; no way to predict if it will or won't happen though.

Putting a couple wrasses together in an acclimation box is usually fine for a few days; 3 largish ones is probably too much however. I've done three before, but all were 1.5-2".

You'll want to leave them in there for at least 2-3 days; maybe longer. It's all a matter of waiting until you no longer see any aggression between the existing tankmates and the new ones in the box; careful observation is the key. And considering you'll have a leopard in there overnight, the box with the leopard will need a small container of sand for her to sleep in.

Lubbocks is a good choice as with the female red head. I would stay away from the Blue Star due to your two other fish.. The Melanurus Wrasse and Red Head can be aggressive. I added two flame wrasses to my tank and the only fish that cared was the Lubbocks.

I might hold off on the bipartitus than. Maybe just stick with the lubbocki and possibly the second solorensis but im still on the fence about this

No, Cirrhilabrus do not sleep in the sand. A piece of PVC or two is a good idea though.

No? Any Paracheilinus could suit you well.

Thank you wrasse master!!! Ill be placing my order tonight I think we are going to try to get three of them in!!! Im going to see if anyone in my reef club has an extra acclimation box and ill get some PVC in there.

yeah that's why i wasn't ready to pull the trigger i don't really have small fish but i do have shrimps so hes off the list.

Man i just need another 200+ Gal tank so i can do fish only. Oh how the Girlfriend would love that lol

solaris wrasse can get pretty aggressive. the blue star leopard is very tame, no issues from her. you can add her first.

Since we are talking about wrasse compatibility, I have a male linespot flasher wrasse. He shows his colors well; but, I would like to add a female and hope for a little "courtship colors"He has been in the tank since Saturday. I have read that you can't add a female after the male is already introduced. Any opinions??
