Background: I upgraded to a 90 gallon tank. So far I have two clownfish, yellow watchman goby, Bangaii cardinal fish, a pink streaked wrasse, a flasher wrasse, and a melanurus wrasse.

I am planning on adding a tang (probably Kole) and some kind of algae eating fish (lawnmower or something).

I was wondering if I could add a coris or Vrolik's wrasse? Would there be aggression issues?

I would advise against adding H. chrysotaenia to a tank with H. melanurus, these two fish are too similar in appearance and behavior and an existing one will likely not tolerate the other.

^ Completely agree; was about to type the same type of statement.

When you say "coris", by what species do you mean? You should avoid those actually of the Coris genus.

Thanks for the comments. Sorry I should have used scientific names because I may be getting common names confused. By coris what I meant was Halichoeres leucoxanthus, but it is in the same genus as H. melanurus so maybe I should pass on it. Thanks for the link and all the help.

Although H. leucoxanthus is in the same Genus as H. melanurus, they are different enough to be housed together, just use a social acclamation box when adding.
