Hey All!

Im looking to add a female leopard wrasse to my tank. Currently I have...

Male Melanarus Wrasse (4+")
Male L. Anthia (4")
2 Perc Clowns (Mated)
2 Zebra Darts (Bonded)
1 Yellow Tang
1 Starry Blenny (6")
1 D. Sailfin Tang (3.5"
1 Coral Beauty (3" and a pinch)

They are happy and healthy in a 92gl system (112gl if you include the sump/fuge). Ive already been trying to rehome the CB but so far no takers.

I figured I may have to rehome a fish or two to keep everyone happy. My question is would any combination of these fish cause problems? Would the Wrasse's get along? And the biggie....who should I rehome to make room for a female Leopard Wrasse?

Thanks!

Following along if you don't mind having me ... planning wrasse addition to the new tank!

You should be fine. Every once in awhile a halochoeres wrasse (such as your melanarus) will get aggressive toward new leopard wrasses but typically not. They get over it quickly. You could add two leopards of mixed species to reduce the likelihood of trouble as well

Two Lepard Wrasses??? I hadnt though of that! Which two would you recommend??

This is all good news so far! My other concern is with over stocking the tank. Do I need to rehome a few and if so, which should I consider? I will say that I would like to keep the clowns and darts as they are coupled. Could I possibly consider a male and female leopard wrasse or would that cause too many territorial issues between the couples?

Ornate, blue star, regular, black leopard, etc.

I like ornate but find them only at PetSolutions.com regularly.

Two small leopards won't be a significant gain in bio load IMO but it all depends on your tanks ability to export nutrients (maintain good water parameters).
