As I get closer to getting my 180gal build complete, I keep adjusting my fish list. My question is, would there be any compatibility issues between a Yellow Coris, Solar Fairy, and Melanurus Wrasses? I currently have the Yellow Coris, so I'd add the solar and melanurus to the new build at the same time to hopefully curve aggression, if any. Thanks for any advice or suggestions!

I’ve found that when introducing fish to a “new” system, everyone is experiencing the tank for the first time. There should be no territorial aggression.

Should do well with one another! Great taste in fish. Long term, the melanurus can get pretty aggressive though and may attack/consume Shrimp or your cleanup crew. I sold my last one after watching it grab, smash, and devour a cleaner shrimp it had lived with for months. I like the timor wrasse (Halichoeres timorensis) better, as it stays smaller and is better behaved as an adult.

+1 to this, everything I was going to say has been said in here.

Solar Fairy Wrasse… which one do you mean? There used to be 3 sold under solar/Solon wrasse, I assume you mean Cirrhilabrus aquamarinus? If so then these can be boisterous in the long run to other fairy wrasses.

Thanks for the input. The only CUC members i'll be keeping are a serpent starfish and a pincushion urchin. Hopefully the Melanurus doesn't go after them

Cirrhilabrus Solorensis
It should be alright however Cirrhilabrus solorensis is rather aggressive, as is it’s former “Cf”, now Cirrhilabrus aquamarinus.
