My wrasse i just got 2 days ago is now laying on the sand gasping for air looks like. Is there anything i can do to help save him. I brought him home and on the first day it was eating right off the bat. Second day same thing. He was hidden for half the day and then came out once the lights came on. Then went back eating brine shrimp.

Leopards are very difficult they often die due to internal parasites and flukes. Prazi is a must for these guys. Even still, perfect husbandry often ends in failure with leopards. I have 6 now and once established they're pretty hardy!

yeah seems to me that it was already sick because for 2 days swimming and eating no problems. Then the third day dead. I even put a Mysis shrimp cube on a clip to make sure the fish would stay full. Even eating the bugs off all the rock work .idk. I hope petco will give me some credit on the fish.

Sorry for your loss. How deep is your sand bed? I'm surprised it didn't bury itself. Mine buried themselves and didn't come out for a day. Good luck with Petco.

^This 100%. Parasites can be pretty bad with these guys. The first couple of weeks can be very touch and go.

yeah it seemed that everything was going great. Eating all of the Mysis shrimp I pump in there and probably one afternoon it went south. I thought it might of went to bed in the sand, but nope it died on me.
