So i have a mated pair of fairy wrasse. Does anyone knownif a female will kind of hide out if she is pregnant?

Nope. Wrasses are broadcast spawners, laying and fertilizing eggs high up in the water column, to let them be carried off where the current takes them. If one of them is hiding then there is a good chance it is being picked on, probably by the other.
 
Yes sometimes he will bully her. But most of the time they get along.
 
Yes that makes sense. I sure hope that one day maybe they will mate.
 
If they haven't spawned by now, and the female is beginning it's transition to male, I'm afraid that ship has sailed.

Wrasse do not "pair", in that they do not form bonded relationships. It's all about dominance and submission, and that's a constant battle to reach the top (terminal male position).
