Wrasse Help!

i assume he ate a bit of thawed frozen cyclopes because he was moving his head around like he was catching food, but wasnt swimming for the food. he is small, like 2 inches, and the box he is in is maybe 4 deep, 4 tall and 5 wide. maybe its too small for him.

how long should i let him hang out in box b4 i release. just dont want him to die on me and not be able to find him later.

I saw that wrasse in the F&S retail store on Tuesday! Sounds like normal behavior and it should be more active when released.

Yes, Gary is the master of fish pics!!!

Also thanks for the correction on price for the attenuatus...I had to hide the bill so my hubby didn't see it ;)

sara, we bought him on thurs so im sure it was the same guy. he was so beautiful, nice pink in him. so do you realy live in hampshire, il. long way from home if you were in rhinelander.

keep us posted on the McKosker's. hopefully, he'll start eating soon. when do you plan on releasing him? and what tank mates do you have for him? any concern for bullying?

he is still alive, but still hanging out in the pvc that is in the net cage. I caught one of my clown thursday and hopefully will have some time tonight to catch the other one. The clown that is left is the smaller one and now doesnt venture out much because his mate is gone. They were the only concern for bullying in my eyes. Other wise I have a Diamond goby, chromis, cardnal fish, and blue tang. all pretty dosile in my opinion.

hopefully i can release him tonight when lights are out.

My husband is from Minocqua and we come up for snowmobiling on the weekends and in the summer for waterskiing and wakeboarding. It's about a 4 hour 30-45 minute trip up.

wow, small world. we live in minocqua! Hope you dont plan on coming up soon, it rained all yesterday, melted all the snow, and now everything is covered in inches of ice. My car door was froze shut this morning, and my car slide sideways down the driveway. all ice!

We left yesterday after spending a week up there. We enjoyed the snow earlier in the week as we were watching the weather forecast!

released him last night a few hrs after the lights were out. he let himself sink to the bottom, sat there a second, and swam off. Hopefully hes out and about today when the lights turn on.
