Wrasse herpes?

i noticed my sailfin wrasse has this odd bulge on his face was wondering if I can get any help with it my girlfriend thinks it’s fish herpes
Fish eats fine and is acting normal for a fish
Fish has been in system for 5-7 months
No new additions in two months

Possibly could be lympho but most likely an injury. I would keep a close eye on it, you don't want it to turn into an infection. If possible you may want to dose some metroplex/kanaplex for a week or so to be on the safe side. I've had no issues with metro/kanaplex in a reef tank. It doesn't state its reef safe but from my experience it didn't do any harm. Another option is to remove the fish and QT treat with metro/kanplex/furan. Good luck.

Sometimes fish like wrasses will develop these clear like bubbles, usually near their eyes and on their faces as a reaction to stress. Excellent water quality and vitamin rich food (consider Selcon added to foods) will lessen the stress and build the immune system of the fish. And of course keep an eye out for stressors in the tank. Usually they just go away by themselves after a few days. Hope this helps.

Edit: some have found that increasing oxygen in the water to be helpful. An airstone could provide some benefit.

Really? I had a air line blow(I microscrub at night) the other day and it seemed like it would have been stressful for two hours

He's got something pushing that scale out. Could be swelling from an injury, as suggested.

Hard to say. Doesn't look like lympho. Could be viral, maybe fungal. I don't really see any signs of injury, but that's certainly possible.
