for them to have the best coloration they need to be heathy. Wide variety of good food. Then if you can you get them into breeding condition and provide mates for them.
You can stimulate and help them develops into the best color by force them into occasional territorial dispute by gone the large mirror.
IMO, that is the most important factor other than give them plenty of good food but do not let the water condition slip. The pictures I am take are mostly under white light with minimal edit other than resizing and crop.

#1 is Halichoeres maculipinna, terminal phase male. The others were identified correctly.

The Fairy is I believe a Cirrhilabrus katherinae variant. The other photo shows a Novaculichthys macrolepidotus. And the Thalassoma is a T. lunare female.

Flasher wrasses flashes if they want: 1 to entice females to spawn, 2. Intimidate rival, or he want to show bravado in face of intimidation.

So if you want your flasher wrasse to flashes, you need to keep him healthy then provide him various objects/animals to cause it want to flash. Female, rivals in the form of either the same species or similar species, or other fish he wants to intimidates or intimidated by, or a large mirror

@SaltyT I know you knew this post was coming.
I have questions about my dearly departed Oddjob(s) - what were sold to me as ruby-headed fairy wrasse. I did not keep the sticker back then with what Latin names they were sold as.
After talking with @Crabby48 and looking at tons of photos, I honestly question if either one was labeled properly.
Would love your input on the proper ID of these fish. I also think they're 2 completely different fish.

I also want to point out that your OG looks like a female in transition, and definitely a Cirrhilabrus. What wrasse remind you of your OG?
