Looks like Pseudocheilinus evanidus to me but I'm sure the real experts can tell you pretty soon. If it is in the Pseudochilinus genus it's not one you want unless it will be your only wrasse.

I thought so also but wanted to confirm. It was told to me that it was a mystery wrasse but it didn’t look like that to me. It’s does appear to be in the Pseudocheilinus genus.

Are the aggressive or territorial? If so I didn't know that. I've never kept one, but LiveAquaria says they are good tankmates including with other wrasses.

Interesting that they're selling that fish as a Mystery Wrasse, which is generally much pricier than the Scarlet Pinstripe.

Pseudocheilinus = wrasse terror. LA is incorrect. The genus is incompatible with all other wrasses.

They're clearly all stressed, but if they had been just dumped in the tank that would explain it.

They were marked for 40. It was definitely not their intention to deceive, just misidentified. I informed them and they corrected the name.
