Can anyone tell me what wrasse this is? Bought a year ago as a tiny red juvenile for $10

Blue throated fairy wrasse
And yes the colours will stay but some will start to fade if he has no reason to flash.
That small red juvenile was a female, now he’s matured and changed to male because he’s the dominant one in the tank (Although, all fairy wrasse turn male even if there’s one in the tank already)

Thanks. Just bought because of the price hoping it would turn into something. Looks like he has. Puts on a show with his reflection every evening
 
IMO/E, they can be aggressive with other fairy wrasses… definitely on my ‘never again’ list.

I’d say this is a wrasse similar to a Scott’s wrasse, you get ones that are badly and when they are bad they’re VERY bad. But when they’re mild is an extreme case of being mild. I’ve never seen an in between with wrasse like the Scott’s fairies.
