Hey guys I have a yellow coris and a halichoeres wrasse in a bare bottom QT tank. I had to do an emergency QT because my tank had ich. They are both freaking out because they have no where to sleep. I have heard that ich will get into sand and be harder to kill. Will they be okay with pvc pipes after a few days or is there another solution?

When I had to QT my halichoeres wrasse i put a small plastic container of sand in there for them to burry. The absorption of the copper from the sand will be minimal but will require close monitoring.

New sand? Live or no?

You can grab it from your DT as long as you start the QT cycle as day one again.

I put this in there for him. He hasn’t noticed yet but I’m sure he will tonight
