Wrasse is harmful!!!

I have a beautiful wrasse. I buy that 6,month a go
That eat lps and shock sps
I don't want to sell it
I hooked it yesterday.
Hellp me for
Can i do for avoid to eating lps by it?
Because that is very beautiful..
What is name ? This wrasse
Help me what do i do for example change the food or ..
My food is ocean nutrition 1 2 jbl and...

Larabicus quadrilineatus, the four line cleaner wrasse. It is an obligate corallivore. Definitely not reef safe.

Yup. It is only a "cleaner" as a juvenile. As an adult they eat corals.

Just picked up one of these for my sons tank (only Zoas, no L/SPS). Beautiful fish and it certainly eats mysis and roe. Too bad it eats corals.

Just me, but cleaner wrasses are among the most problematic wrasses to keep in captivity. The traditional cleaner can make a major pest of itself trying to clean other fish since it is trying to feed all the time and other cleaners struggle with other issues (as mentioned above). Wrasses are great but I definitely don't recommend the cleaners to people.

I think that is generally good advice. The bluestreak can be a good addition to a large tank with a number of larger fishes, but not otherwise. I've always wanted to try a Hawaiian cleaner, but they have a dismal survival record.

You and me both. I've been always trying to deploy fish that I've dove with in Hawaii. The Hawaiian cleaner was on the list but I don't know many that keep them long term with any success.

I got ya. Yes pretty impossible to find. I have a LFS that can get them from time to time. They will only order them upon request and you have to pick it up as soon as it arrives.

This species is only a cleaner when juvenile but when they mature are corallivores, I personally find them to be one of the worst traps in the wrasse world.
