Wrasse issue for my friend

So I DM'ed Evolved as know he is the go to guy but i will also post it here i'll copy and paste what i sent him see if anyone else can help too.

My friend is having an issue with a Quoyi Parrot, he states it's not feeding 100% claiming it is hit and miss.
i've asked him if the parrot goes wild on any particular foods but he said there's nothing that excites him and the issue is getting worst over time. he does not want it to die and is worried..
what do you recommend to try and entice this fish into feeding what could he do to help it along and make sure he does not get a fatality..
any questions you need to know just fire away!

What does hit or miss eating mean? What are the hits? I would try some algae wafers. They continually graze on algae on rocks if you have some of that. Good luck.
