so i have had this wrasse for about 2 years now:
He continues to get fat and be a great fish. Well recently over lets call it the past 10 days i haven't really seen the fish. about 5 days ago i caught him jumping out of a rock swimming around for a second than he shot back into the rock work. Yesterday being around day 10 of not really seeing him i started to look by the rocks where i saw him shoot out. its located on the bottom left of my tank. I put my flashlight on and started looking in the rocks. I saw the fish and he saw me he still kept him self tight in the rockwork, hes not stuck just hiding i guess.
The only thing that has changed in the tank is i introduced a LARGE salfin tang into the tank. i thought maybe he was scared but whats odd is i have 2 other wrasses one bigger than this one who has no issues and one thats way smaller than this wrasse who is also out swimming with no issues.
Has anyone every ran into this? at first the fishes stomach was getting huge so i thought maybe the fish was having babies? now im thinking maybe the fish is just scared? Should i just let him go and see what happens?
P.S. When i feed the tank with flake or meaty foods the fish does not come out to eat. ill have to watch tonight as the gyres may push food where hes hidden but im not to sure havent really watched it that close.
