Hey folks, I need some help with a wrasse I currently have in QT. Right now I have GC going, but I have a medicine cabinet full of stuff available. Here's a couple pics for id #reefsquad

Looks bacterial. Is it eating?
Definitely try to get it to eat. Soak food in garlic to entice it if it isn’t. Poor thing.

He's eating well for sure. Pellets don't hit the bottom of the tank usually. I just started General Cure in the tank on Sunday, but I have a full range of other meds if a different course of action is needed.

Medicine cabinet -
Copper Power
Prazipro
Metroplex
Kanaplex
Bifuran+
Furan-2
API General Cure
Focus
Garlic Guard
Selcon

Nice that you're prepared. Serve vitamin enriched foods that have been soaked for at least 30 minutes with selcon +garlic guard

Does that white patches appear to be fuzzy? describe what you're seeing since its hard to tell by the photo.

My immediate thought is fungal or bacterial. Best bet would be to get sulfaplex + kanaplex + Furan -2. Mix medications in separate container of RODI water and pour into QT.

Thanks for taking a look! The patches don't look too "raised up" if that's what you meant by fuzzy. Looks more like he got roughed up, but I've not seen him scratching against anything in the tank. His breathing looks normal and his swimming behavior seems normal. I tried food soaked with GC, focus, kanaplex, and garlic guard last night, but he didn't want anything to do with it. I might have added too much of the garlic. He ate untreated food this morning just fine. I'll try just food soaked in selcon, and dosing kanaplex & furan-2 since I have those on hand.

These medication would be much more effective administered through the water column vs. feeding. Feeding these meds treats internal issues.

Keep in mind too that pristine water conditions and vitamin enriched foods/solid diet can combat many of these issues without medications. If he eating and acting normally I would keep an eye on it and see if it resolves on its own.

Thanks for the advice on that, I'll go that route for a few days and see how it goes
