Wrasse odd swimming after FW dip

Hi all!

I have a red velvet fairy wrasse that is currently in quarantine after a FW dip.

He's been in my main display for about 3 weeks and everything seemed fine but a few days ago I noticed something on his eye that moved when he moved and appeared to be attached on the outside.

Assuming it might be flukes, I did a 3 minute FW dip and then put him in a qt tank yesterday With a dose of General Cure (it's all I had on hand).

He's swimming, active, and eating but seems awfully clumsy now and swims vertically.

He wasn't acting this way in the main tank, only after the FW dip...

Any thoughts? Did I give the poor guy brain damage?

This was my first FW dip and my first fish that has required hospital.

Sometimes flukes can spasm during a freshwater dip and those spasms can be really rough on the fish's gills. Lots of O2 from both a powerhead and a foam bubble type filter can help the fish to get more O2. Could also consider treating with methylene blue. It helps the fish's gills to absorb O2. Usually used for ammonia burn damage to gills, but could help here as well.
