I just got a ruby longfin fairy wrasse and a linespot flasher wrasse. I have a YWG and candy cane pistol shrimp that have been in the tank for around 2 months prior to introducing the wrasses yesterday. Today the YWG has left the burrow and is swimming at the top of the tank and I found what appears to be shrimp hull stuck to my wavemaker. I feed rod's so I'm not sure if the shrimp piece was from that or if one of the wrasse killed the shrimp and spooked the YWG. Does anyone have any experience with this?

It's a 90 gallon aquarium. There's a fire Goby, a royal gramma, and 2 clownfish in there as well

I’ve seen this in my tank the shell was from the shrimp shedding it’s shell

I think you're right, I just saw the pistol shrimp down in his hole. I guess the YWG just got spooked by the new additions

Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus species don’t feed on shrimp or the rocks - they’re planktivores :)
