Is it weird that my Wrasses let me pet them when i'm washing the tank or simply having my hand in the tank?

They love to swim around my hand and sometimes sit in my palm when I cup my hands up. They aren't scared and act like dolphins to me..

so cute but seems awkward since I haven't seen a wrasse not be shy.

Which Wrasses out of curiosity? I have a couple that aren't afraid by me in the tank, but don't swim into my hands, yet :)

I actually have a melanurus wrasse that does that, he always comes up to me, no matter what I'm doing, will always let me touch him, sometimes he jumps a little, but usually he just hangs out by me and lets me pet him for a little. And sometimes if I'm making a circle with my hand he'll swim through it too

ive had it happen before with clients tanks. i literally got a leopard yesterday and she could care less if i have my hands in there, weaves in and out lol

My male H. timorensis is my best friend when I'm working in the tank. Really, he's just hoping I kick up some pods for him, but he always nearby.

I once had a male C. lineatus that LOVED anything shiney I put in the tank. He used to nip at the shiney frag tools while they were in my hand!
