I just picked up a China and Melanurus wrasse earlier this week and have them in my 55 gal. QT right now. The plan is to treat them with prazi and Cupramine but got worried after reading about how some wrasses don't do well in copper treatment. Is there a list or somewhere I could check to see if these fish and others I'm getting can handle it or not?

The plan is to add 2-3 more fish into the QT before treatment begins then all will be going into my DT.

Thanks for your help

Be sure you have a cover on the QT. I've had excellent experiences with Coppersafe which is chelated. Melanurus wrasses in particular do very well for me in Coppersafe. Good luck!

Yeah, I've tried copper on wrasses. Gradually bring the copper level up, taking twice as long as the instructions suggest.

I'll add my voice to the chorus recommending _chelated_ copper. I lost several fairy wrasses to ionic copper before I realized what was going on in my quarantine.

~Bruce, who is now graced with a five-wrasse-reef . . . and a sixth in QT

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll get some coppersafe before I start treatment.

IMO even longer than 2x is preferred and wait until they're eating and appearing healthy. I agree it can be done!
