Wrasse Wish list......

So I have started my new tank which is a 65 gallon peninsula up and planning the fish list right now. Just want to make sure this list will work and not cause any problems. I have had multiple tanks before and have had my hand full of wrasses but this tank is going to be mainly wrasses. I will have a tight lid on this one to prevent jumpers. So here it goes.

~Cirrhilabrus lineatus
~Macropharyngodon negrosensis(wifes favorite fish of all time)
~Cirrhilabrus aurantidorsalis
~Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis
~Anampses Meleagrides
~Labroides dimidiatus
~Halichoeres iridis

good idea on the lid. and, your wife has great taste in fish. look at the compatability chart for these though, I think the lineatus and the rubris need a first and last due to territory issues. all beautiful fish. enjoy!

The combination of needs and total length of Anampses meleagrides require a tank larger than a 65.

Labroides dimidiatus, and any cleaner wrasses, do best in a bigger tank full of larger fish on which to feed on slime coats and dead and damaged scales.

Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis is aggressive for a fairy wrasse, a 65g may not provide enough space for his bossiness toward other fairy wrasses.

Anytime you are adding a new wrasde to one already in a tank use a social acclimation box. A tight fitting lid is a must.

Ok Thank you for that info. Last tank was a 180 so space was not an issue. This is the smallest tank I have had yet. Trying to figure out what my limits would be.
