so I’m batting a thousand with Wrasses to start with, I lost my last group to suspected Uronema in QT. My LFS replaced two at no charge (a yellow and purple and Ruby Head Fairy). I picked them up on the 1st and brought them home, I did a FW dip on both and the Ruby Head had a lot of debris come off but I couldn’t confirm flukes. The yellow didn’t have anything come off that I could see. Because of the Ruby Head I started with a dose of General Cure for possible flukes. By the end of the second day they had both gone downhill quickly. The yellow was breathing fast , on his side, not eating or swimming. The Ruby Head was trying to swim but in front of a powerhead, had a whitish discoloration near his gills)this made me think velvet so I did a WC and added Copper Power to 1.5ppm with plans to increase to 1.75 in the morning. I figured both would be gone by this morning but to my surprise they are now both out acting completely normal. Here is my question on the yellow I noticed this spot on his eye and I’m not sure how to treat it or if I should just watch it for a while. (No Popeye just a spec that can be seen) I’m not sure if this could be injury or a fluke (both eyes are clear not cloudy). His tail looks a little rough also but no sign of infection there.

I can’t see, is it on the eyeball itself? What you describe sure sounds like a fluke.

With wrasse I would feed general cure soaked foods with focus added to bind the meds to the food.

Unless you bleached the QT, it likely still has uronema so I’d add metroplex to the tank for a full 14 days as directed on the instructions. A double dose is OK. Feeding GC will also help with internal uronema.

The QT was bleached thoroughly and all equipment sanitized and everything dried for a week to eliminate Uronema. If you look in the first pic you can see the spec in his eye. They are being fed Metro with focus and mysis already. Should I dose metro or Prazi with copper or wait?

Here is a better pic of the spot on the eye of the yellow

Hard to tell if it’s an injury or fluke. I’d do a freshwater dip first.

You can dose GC or prazi with copper and metroplex. I believe for whatever reason GC has a lesser risk of bacterial blooms. You have bubbler and small powerhead aimed at surface right?

I did a FW dip yesterday and this didn’t change. I have an airstone and a powerhead at the surface. I have Metro, Hikari Prazi, GC, Furan 2 on hand. I dosed GC the first day before the copper but had to cut it short at 24 hours to add the copper in (WC) should I do another GC now or wait until day 5?

Wait until day 5. If the spot was there during the FW dip yesterday I’d just leave it. May be injury and it may heal up just fine.
