Got this chissletooth wrasse a week ago and the bump in the photo happened this weekend. Not sure if it is bacterial or an injury. Any thoughts? Thanks for any suggestions.

Appears to be a bacterial issue and may have stemmed from small injury prior. Fish will have to be treated in quarantine with use of either Seachem Kanaplex or maracyn 2 with added oxygen using air stone

What if someone doesn’t have a quarantine tank?

There are few medications available for livestock-coral and inverts and often take longer to work and produce results. Ruby Rally Pro is one of them. . . reef safe but slower to treat

Vetteguy, thank you. We went ahead and made a quarantine tank yesterday. He has been transferred this morning (he is a fast and very elusive fish that loves to bury himself in the sand) and I added the Ruby Rally Pro. Will cross my fingers over the next days/weeks.

Is it possible to overdose the Ruby Ralley? It said to use 1 ounce per 20gal. I only have 5 gal. So I put in a cap full.

Ruby is forgiving but try to avoid in fact you can dose at 90% to avoid this. Water will be a light yellow/green color
