Wrasses for nano tanks

What would a good wrasse be for a 29 gal nano tank that is peaceful but can stand up for its self and is colorful. I was thinking a carpenter flasher wrasse but I'm unsure. Any thoughts on this?

Sixline, but they are jerks sometimes.... should be the last fish added if you go that route.

I was looking at a yellow coris but won't it get too big

Would that be too big with 5 other fish in the tank ( 1 dwarf angel,1clowngoby,1 falco hawkfish, and 2 blennies) in a BC 29

Some do have them In their nano's even the iridis wrasse or exquisite wrasse...

I would not recomend any Halichoeres or Macropharyngodon wrasse for a tank that size. While possible to get a juvenile Halichoeres, such as iridis or yellow coris, that could be housed in that sized tank briefly, it simply would outgrow it too quickly.

That size tank would not suppot the pods needed to keep even a juvenile leopard wrasse. Even if you find a juvenile eating well, they too quickly outgrow this sized tank, and still need a suitable amount of pods as their digestive tract is suited for near constant grazing.

The most suitable wrasses would be any of the wetmorella species or pseudocheilinops ataenia.

Sixline or fourline wrasses would also work for space, but can be very aggressive towards other fish.

+1 go with sixline or fourline if you have other livestock that wont be bullied.

I have a mixed reef in a 14 biocube. I have a true percula and a blue damsel. Both semi aggressive fish but wanted to add a 6 line? Would these 3 be alright together

No, and you're arguably maxed out already I'm afraid.

I feel the minimum recommended tank size for the hals are pushing it already.

im mothballing my 120gal tank this week and downsizing to a 24 gal jbj cube with a 30 gal sump. i was planning on selling my two wrasses; a green coris and a ruby margin. i would love to keep them, but i cant bring myself to force them into something so small.

Unfortunately no. These as well get too large for your tank. Please refer to the post from Evolved:

Look for either Possum Wrasses or Pink-Streaked Wrasse.
