I recently purchased a longfin wrasse. It has been in quarantine about 2.5 weeks. For the last few days I have noticed what looked like ich on a fin and its tail. This was not really surprising as one of its tank mates had a severe case. Yesterday I got home from work and the fish was infested but still active. I had been doing hypo and 2.5 gallon water changes daily (10 gallon QT) for the last week. So after reading a LARGE number of posts about copper(cupramine) and wrasse survivability i reluctantly started last night per the directions. For hrs I watched to see if it was reacting negatively. The only sign was initially it seemed startled and hid for 30 minutes or so then business as usual. To my surprise I woke up to a half dead fish heavily labored in its breathing. My knee jerk reaction was to do a 100% water change. I set up my camera and went to work. I have not seen him all day and I do not have high hopes for this fish.
