So I want to add a leopard wrasse, Christmas wrasse and Melanurus wrasse into my Reef... what’s the correct order I should add them or better yet, are these 3 species allowed together? If so, what order should I do?

Leopard, christmas(assuming it's H. Claudia?), melanarus.

Use an acclimation box.

Just know mixing halichoeres (Christmas/melanarus) is kind of a crap shoot. Ideally add them pretty close together.

Agree.

There are a few species that go by Christmas wrasse.
If it is H. biocellatus or H. claudia it would go in between the leopard and the melanurus. If it is H. ornatissimus it should go last. If it is Thalassoma trilobattum it should not be mixed with other wrasses.

Thanks for the info guys!! I’ll look into the different species and add accordingly! You guys are the best!

If I wanted to add a yellow coris wrasse as well... what would the order be? And back to the Christmas wrasse... it would definitely be a H. Claudia

Leopard, H. chrysus, H. claudia, H. melanurus.

I guess I should also ask... I’m planning on out a snowflake eel in this tank as well... should I add him after the wrasses or does it not matter?

Definitely add after the wrasses. I have dealt with some rogue snowflake eels hunt new additions.

Acclimation box is key. My first was melanarus then leopard then last a timor wrasse. Leopard and timor dont care. The melanarus should be added last imo.

Why is the acclimatization box so important?

It lets the anger of the fish subside. Its like when u throw a new fish in there everyone gets mad or stressed. The box provides the separation for everyone to get over this stress without tearing each other apart. I usually release the new fish at dark when all is quiet. In the morning i have yet to have any issues.
