Anyone have 3 wrases in a 180g plus awuarium

Currently a timor and pintail fairy

Was debating avout a six line and/or yellow coris but have heard six lines fan be a pain in the you onow what

The tank seems big enough that the six line won't be an ABSOLUTE bully, but if you still want one, I would make it the last addition to the tank.

Can I interest you in a Melenurus Wrasse? My favorite tank inhabitant when I had him (died of old age). But only if you have a sandbed deep enough.

Can’t say how many I got. You can keep many but none with a six line. I wouldn’t keep anything any thing with a six line. For real when it matures it will be a problem. Not if but when. Pick a few fairy’s, flashers, leopards, and Halichoeres and mix them up. Some can be more jerks then others so some cation is needed

I wouldn’t think twice adding 25 wrasse to that tank hebe

I have six line with yellow coris and fairy and mystery and melanurus in a 200g. The sixline been with me for years now... Each fish is different and you may get lucky. I will say plenty of nicer looking wrasse than sixline so skip it

In my 110 gallon I have:
  1. Radiant pig
  2. Timor pig
  3. Dusky pig
  4. Lunate fairy
  5. Exquisite fairy
  6. Blue flasher
  7. Gold nugget
  8. Red sea leopard
  9. Yellowtail tamarin
  10. Pink streaked
Mixing wrasse is easy. Just stick with the flashers, fairies, leopards, halichoeres(pigs), tamarin, pink streak and xenojulis and you'll be fine.

But definitely avoid the sixline and its cousins of Pseudocheilinus!

Just read this!

Yes, I've had up to 7 at one point but I only have 4 now: melanarus, christmas, green and quoy's parrotfish.

I'm getting my very first wrasse (sixline) in a couple days. Tank mates include a pair of clowns, pair of mollies, diamond goby, banggai cardinal, and a royal gramma... wish me luck!

There are a lot of extremely beautiful wrasses

My yellow wrasse was so chill, never messed with any one in the tank. Just swam around hunting all day

Most of us have 6-7 wrasses in a 4’ tank, in a 6’ tank you could definitely have 15-20 depending on other inhabitants.

As others have said, ditch the six as he will become a bully in even a 6’ tank. Here’s just some of my wrasses for ideas of other species you could have outside of the Yellow ‘Coris’ and Sixline.
