WTB: 54W (48 inch) Daylight type T5HO lamps

Hi y'all,

I am looking for an inexpensive option for 54W T5HO lamps.

I recently bought a used 48 inch T5HO fixture for my FW planted 75G tank. Unfortunately the fixture came with mainly reef type bulbs. So I am looking for bulbs in 6000K to 6700K color temp range.

Please let me know if you have any of these lying around and how much you want for it. Used ones are okay with me.

If you would like to trade with semi-used reef type bulbs (6 month old), I can do that. The bulbs that I have are all Giesmann bulbs (3 aqua blue plus, 1 purple plus, 1 aqua pink, and 3 true actinic.) I can sell each bulb for $7.00 since I don't need any of these.

lowes carries 6500k T5s that will run 54W no problem

Thank you, Bart. I went ahead and ordered Giesmann T5's that planted aquarium people seem to love. I might consider giving Lowes T5 a try next time.

You made a good choice IMO. The aquaflora and midday bulbs make a great combo for planted tanks... that's all I had over my high tech tanks.

Thank you for the input. I have been running PC's with ahsupply's reflectors for years and never tried T5's before. I am looking forward to switching out my old PC fixtures with a new T5 fixture
