WTB- 6061.com mount- Hydra

Looking for a 6061.com mount or similar for hydra 52.

To bad he doesn’t make them anymore, because the standard mounting options leave little to be desired.

Are you talking about the extension rails? If so, I want to be able to mount the light end to end and not front to back.

A floating shelf and the hanging kit is my back up option.

They go on each side of the tank, screwed into the stand. Then you use the rails to add your lights to them. I had this setup on my old tank, and still have some rails and tank mounts if you want them.

But with my new setup I went with your back up option.

Appreciate response and offer, but these aren’t in the cards for me. I did look at them, but if I wanted to mount the light left to right I’d have to run them up the side of the tank and not the back. Personally not a fan of that look.

Ohhh now I get what you meant. Cool. You can still accomplish the same look... mount them in the back and then add a hanging kit to the rails that stick out from them. But you are totally right, 6061 mounts accomplish that in a much better way. I hope you can find them bud.

I think the newer version mounts let you mount the Hydras both parallel and perpendicular now...

They do yes, but IMO really take away from the look of the rimless tank.
