I bought a used Apex in Feb. Was waiting to set it up until I upgraded. I should've tested it back then. Display Module is dead. Looking for just a display module.

You may want to ask the #MODS to move this to the want to buy forum to get more hits. :-)

It's an apex classic. I'm new to controllers but don't I need the literal display to link my apex to fusion?

No- you can do it through the classic dashboard on your computer by accessing it via IP address

There are instructions around her somewhere

No worries. Been there, lol.

Will only work if it’s hardwired though, the first time at least. I don’t think they say that in the thread. Once you have fusion linked, you can do WiFi connection If you prefer

I cat5 to my WiFi router. It won’t work just connecting to your computer, I don’t think.

But I didn’t reread the thread- this is from memory from 2 years ago

Yes I did! A few hiccups along the way, AFTER getting it linked. The EB8 module wasn't being picked up. Then at 8am on the nose this morning, the outlets disappeared and all my pumps, heater, etc had no power. But it's going strong now. Thanks again for the help.

That hiccup is normal. It did it on my lite and it did it with my classic. Neptune support denies that it happens.

Here’s a tip- if you can set your apex IP address to a higher number eg- xxx.xx.x.250, if you ever get a power cut, it won’t reboot the Ethernet connection until after your router has stabilized. This is essential for the apex to reconnect to fusion without a delay if you have a power cut. Also- turn DCHP off too. This contributes to the issue

If you leave it at a smaller number- the apex unit tries to reconnect 1 time to the router. If the router isnt ready, it times out and doesn’t attempt a Second reconnect. So you end up with an apex you can’t see with fusion and unable to control

My $21 ip webcam i use as a baby monitor can ask my router for an IP address multiple times until it reconnects, but my $400 apex can’t

You’ll see a bunch of threads about “my apex won’t reconnect after a power cut”. Rarely get any response from Neptune staff, but that’s the fix.

You can bypass the issue by putting your internet router on a UPS battery so you’ll always have connection during a short duration power cut- but you shouldn’t have to, you know?
