Hey just throwing it out there, for the last year I've slowly been switching to dc8 deepwater aquatics pumps and loving them. Cheap reliable and easy, with a controller, and uses less than half the power as a comparable ac pump. It's like mh to led. When many return pump on my reef goes I'll have one waiting. I have one powering my kids tank which pumps up from a basement sump and it does great, can't even run it on full blast.
