I know these are really old tech, but some of you must have an example of one in your retired equipment box. I have been interested in these for awhile. I may not use it, I have a GEO 618 on hand that I also don't use, but I woukd like to acquire one anyway. This is your chance to get something for it, PM me.

I searched high and low, I love these reactors! I was looking for and found two JS-1s. Both in California. The first guy wouldn't ship no matter what, since he had two shipped to him from retailers and both were damaged. Second one the guy had it professionally packed by UPS, and it still came to me broken. Thank god the seller handled it like a champ and had it overinsured. We both got made whole, but it leiterally took 2 months. I also ordered an Aquamaxx that came broken. And a Korallin 1502 that came broken. Finally I gave up the ghost and found a used reactor locally, but not the JS-1 that I wanted. All this is to say that A) you may not find one, B) if you do, please ensure that it is properly packed and insured, and C) prepare to have to issue a damage claim anyways!

No trying to be a downer and I hope you find one of these awesome reactors! Stranger things happen - I found a brand new old stock 1972 Yamaha XS650 gas tank on ebay for a motorcycle restoration I did - in Canada, no less! but it would be good to have a contingency plan :-)

That seems to be a common issue, damage during shipping. I suspect the design has some fragile qualities to it, that modern day shipping tendencies are incompatible with. I was having such a problem getting delivery of fragile items that I installed no less than 18 video cameras on my property, both for security, and to document what the heck was happening to my packages while they were being delivered. It was not long before they came in handy. I had ordered a 1 G concentrated Alkatronic reagent from CoralVue and found it on my porch leaking acid everywhere. I reviewed the video and saw that it came out of the truck that way, with a 20 something kid carrying it up my driveway with the box soggy with acid. He even attempted to position it, propped up on its edge to help it dry. Yikes! CoralVue replaced it, but I ended up paying customs clearance and duty all over again on the replacement. In the future I will just mix up my own using locally sourced HCL.
