Anybody have a sea fan gorgonian they are willing to frag and sell. Looking for one that looks like this

I have also been looking for this variety of sea fan for the last 15 years. I have 3 purple but want a yellow one.

The issue is that they are federally protected in the usa.

Here is a video of my purple ones:

That is very nice. How old is that purple one?

Nice... question... with 2 bird wrasses how do you keep any clean up crews? I have one and he decimates them.

My nocturnal cleaning crew do fine.. The wrasses do slowly eliminate small snails. I have a couple large snails that they don't bother. I love the wrasses but will not be including them in my new tank.. They are voracious. They gobbled up 4 medium sized firefish within seconds of me adding them. I was completely shocked. So fast... They are quite large. For size reference.. the juvenile emperor angle is about 5".

Really good looking tank. If you ever want to frag one of those purple ones....

I have a 4" by 2" frag that has been growing for about 9 months but I have never shipped.

I have never shipped either, but if you are willing to give it a shot I wouldn't hold it against you if it doesn't make it. I think I saw a shipping guide on r2r I will look for it and get back to you. What were you thinking for price? I would also be happy with a smaller (quater sized piece) if you don't want to part with the whole thing. I have heard they do well from small frags, but seems like they are really slow growers so maybe that information is out of date.

I have had a couple of post on the subject and the consensus is that they grow really slow in captivity. :(
Because of this, I would not go any smaller than the 2 x 4...

Sorry, I will not risk shipping. In my over 35 years of reefing I have only seen the purple fans available 2 times and I would hate to loose one to shipping. You are welcome to come pick it up. :)

If you ever find the yellow ones available, please let me know. I have wanted one since I was 13 years old. :)
