They seem to be pretty popular, and aren't losing a lot of value when sold used. I have one and it works great. I pump up about 10 feet, through 1.5" pipe and it consumes about 85 watts, running about 3/4 speed.

I just bought a new one and so far it's terrific. Can't even hear the thing running and it replaced another DC pump. Good luck finding one.
