Filefish would be ok as long as you don't have any other corals. I got one for aiptasias but took him out after caught him taking a bite out of my brain coral
In addition to the risk of eating your LPS (acans and favia are at the highest risk), there is no guarantee that it would even eat zoas at all. Zoanthids and Palythoas have a toxin within them (palytoxin) that is very dangerous to most animals besides their dedicated predators. Therefore, a filefish may get a taste for them, but either be turned away by or killed by the toxin if it eats too many.I have big colonies for favia, chalice and acans in addition to sps. Thought filefish eat lps

Give me a good price and I’ll buy the whole piecesorry not a zoa expert. I got this one tow. But it doesn’t grow as fast.
That's a great idea! (you could probably also just use reef safe super glue (BSI makes a good cheap one)Cover with reef epoxy. It worked for me, just be prepared your skimmer will overflow for a few hours as the epoxy cures underwater.
"Instant Ocean HoldFast Epoxy Stick" is $5.32 on Amazon and 1 day shipping. Can't beat that.
