I have a nice sun coral that I bought from Dr. Mac at the frag swap. So far doing great, eats like crazy and will open during the day if you add some mysis to the water. I am starting back to long days at work and would just rather not hand feed a coral. Right now feeding about a half cube of mysis every other day. It's 8 adult polyps and around 6 small ones around the outside. Looking to trade or sell. Post or PM any offers.

what would you like for it honestly because i would love on and i to work log days but im young and i just get up early enought to handle my tank and im off by 5 so anything else is then and i already hand feew with a turkey baster any way so honestly what would one more coral be lol

Sleepers I'd be interested.

As far as trades I'm sure my tank has something in it you'd be happy with.

Let me know.

I think Brandon's tank has something that everybody would be happy with (thought I STILL can't believe you sold your wife's favorite coral!!!).

Well, paid $30 for it but was thinking trade. Will give Garth dibs since he was first but I know you are in the middle of some tank upgrades and might not have stuff to trade or the cash right now. You can have it for the same price or if not I may talk to Brandon bout a trade, I'm sure you could get a frag from him later on when your new tank gets going. Just let me know I could use the money but I can alway use coral too. Looking for something low maintence that looks cool and doesn't require too much light. Don't care much for shrooms, like some colorful zoa's or other of the like. Won't be back on until tomorrow night sometime guys.

Haven't sold it yet but I gotta get up a 4 to go the hospital and then class 3pm-630pm then study like mad until I fall asleep. Not much time for hand feeding coral!

You might get away with feeding less. I only fed mine 1-2 mysis a night with tweezers. I was so tempted at the swap to get some but I go out of town too much. That's why I gave 1 frag away in a contest & sold the other 2 last fall. I still miss them. Good luck.

I squirt brine at mine every other night, but I'm not sure that it is able to hold onto everything it gets (fish/shrimp steal it frequently) and I don't even specifically feed each head and it's doing well. They really are pretty easy (I don't cover it with a bottle or anything). They don't get fed when I go out of town, but I've never been gone for longer than a week at a time and they seem to do ok. Maybe unhappier, but ok. Good luck.

Well see thats how I role, plus now she has a new favorite that doesn't suck and we both like :)

lol i think i just might fit in with all of yall lol but brandon do you just want to go half on it we could cut it in half couldnt we lol but its realy up to yall i also have a nice micro frag i would be willing to trade. and correct me if im wrong but the sun coral likes lower light and loves being feed correct because it would have to survive atleast a month or 2 befor the new tank would be any where close to ready for my corals lol. if i plan on using mostly dry base rock with maybe 10-20 lbs live to seed . should i get my water from donny or just mix my own i could do either way i know it will cost a pretty penny know matter what but i want as short of a cycle as possible and i need it to be ready for livestock in atleast a month i just dont know if i can controll myself waiting you know. it just itchs at me seeing this tank empty right now. ill be home after a double probly between 8-10 tonight ill be back on to see what everyone has decided lol

Feel free to grab it if you want. It's to small to really be cutting in half.

As far as cycling your tank get a sponge in the filter of your current tank. Once you setup the new system put the sponge from your current system in good water flow thats probably going to be the best way to cycle it, but you will still have mini cycles with new additions.

ok for sure and will leave the choice up to him like i said ill either pay 30 or i could trade u a 7-10 full poylp micro frag but i have also been feeding him everyother day by hand so maybe you wouldnt want to go that rout but maybe he would be more forgiving with work scheaduals.

and for the sponge idea sounds like a good idea you think i could use the filter floss i have my skimmer return draing through i have it there to keep bubbles out of the display if you think this would help i will add it to the new tank lol

It won't hurt. When i was reading up on breeding fish they always said to use a sponge to quickly setup a brood stock tank, etc.

I personally have always just transfered my live rock and haven't had an issue.

Hey guys, sorry I have been gone a few days, So am I correct in that I am selling to Garth for $30? And Garth I don't know if I can deliver since I have been in the hospital for 3 days with a newly diagnosed seizure disorder. ( they wont let me drive)

If you and Garth can't get it worked out i'm still interested, but garth responded first.

Sorry to hear about the health related issues and wish you the best of luck. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Brandon

if you would like i could probly find a ride what day next week would be good for you and like brandon said if theres anything we can do let us know and hope everything gets better for you
