Wu Tang Clams tank

Parliament, tune, what time should I pop 'round with beers?
How long has the siporax been running, that is loads lol, I run a couple of litres for polishing in my return section?

;)!! Cheers can’t wait for the new album!!
The siporax has been in since starting
60 litres in there!!?

What is the size and gallon of your display tank?

Dang! What do they say on that side of the pond? Serious piece of kit?
How do you like your calcium reactor and how long have you had it? They're just hitting over here but like $2k US.
Todd

Cheers Todd!!
Yes it’s pretty cool I love it so much!
The Dastaco is an incredible bit of kit makes worrying about kh minimal lol
AMS the makers of the dastaco are currently working on a live kh monitor and controller.....when this comes out the tank will be super stable!!!

dang! I don’t know how you maintain the school of chromis. I had six, and now I’m down to two.

Thanks very much!!
I love my chromis....mine seem pretty much bulletproof and have been with me through 3 tanks now so around 6-7 years

Fantastic reef; why do you use siporax? the rocks are not enough to perform biological filtering? moreover the siporax release silicates because of the nature of their material?

72 x24 x32 display

48 x20 x24 sump
Hi Wu Tang, looking very nice, would you be kind enough to share settings and height of v4s,I have same depth x96 inch longx24.inch front to back, all channels 100% for 10hrs with ramp at either end,v3+ ,at 13 inches above surface, three units.for about one and half years, growth is slow on some sps
But colour is good,I would be very interested to hear yours, thanks.
Regards graham.

Thanks, the siporax is used because the amount of rock in the display is minimal and it provides a massive area for bacteria to colonise and process nitrate.
The release of silicates is only true for the first few months due to the fines from the transport and manufacturing process and can be absorbed by using sera silicate clear.....they are sintered glass hoops

Hi graham,thanks very much[emoji106]

Sure,my lights are around the same height as yours at 12 inches.
And growth has just got better and better I have to keep track of my dkh as consumption has really increased recently I checked last week and I was down to 6 dkh
What’s your ph like graham???

Hi Wu Tang, thanks for posting your program nice to see more info,my ph stays pretty stable at 8 to 8.2 with a big skimmer large fish, heavy feeding,I use kalk in top off and dose a reduced triton core 7 other methods daily dose,kh stable at 8 presently.
Regards graham.

Hi Graham,My growth exploded when I added a algae reactor and Co2 scrubber.....living in a modern tightly sealed house gave me the problem of a high Co2 environment for the tank, once corrected CA and KH consumption went through the roof.
I’m not a fan of these supplement plans such as Triton and ATI ect.....I like the easy calcium reactor approach and find it very stable

thank you so much for the explanation

Some A+ colonies you got in there. One of the nicest LED lit tanks I've seen. Great job!
