WWC After Party vs. RR Pink Floyd

No worries, I've had the misfortune of killing a Pink Floyd in the past but in the months I did keep it alive, it changed colors a few times and I've had acros that completely changed color and growth pattern because of my flow/lighting/etc. - they're tricky and dynamic things but potentially very beautiful

What about Pikachu? Diabolic Pacman? There's 20 things that look exactly like pink floyd. The way to tell is easy, put them next to eachother, if they grow together they are the same coral, if they sting one another they are not. They could appear EXACTLY the same but be different colonies even from different reefs. It happens.. Not uncommon.

Way back in ye olden times, we thought Strawberry Short Cake was some amazing rare thing. It's everywhere, the stuff is literally littering the reefs like trash on a subway. I'm not saying there's a Pink Floyd reef, but you gotta think there's several similar ones from all over the world, be it from different area's of the same large reef (GBR) or different reefs in indo (rip).

i haven't post any update for awhile: here's what they look like now: the first picture is the Pink Floyd, and the second pic is of mostly after party (the red-circled is the pink floyd).... they both has growth into each other and so far i have not seen any changes.... I'd placed the both on the same rock and pretty much at the same height... i will try to shoot a picture of them from the side and post it later on.

I'm guessing you mean flesh below the corallites? Even though I killed mine, I'd guess higher lighting. In lower light, the white areas developed hints of green.

i got it from a local reefer (ajcanale) -- he got it directly from Jason Fox.... the pink floyd, i got it thru a trade with (Usctom) back in Sept. of 2016

The reason I asked was because WWC posted a pic of the after party it's mostly a light purple now with not much yellow left. I bought a frag a couple months ago and when I received it had a lot of purple to it also.

When RR Avengers first came out, there were at least two or three local trans-shippers who got the exact same coral and in one case, you could see where the RR piece got broken off of one of the others.

This is a really old post, but I'm curious what you're referring to here. Are you talking about the piece that Tony received?

Where do you guys like to keep your after party and/or Pink Floyd as far as par? They’re both taking forever to grow for me

the afterparty is an older photo(about a month), but to me looks nothing like the pink floyd. Of all the photos online, they all look exactly like the pink floyd so I didnt bother looking for it until I seen it in person. The colony was almost purple colored. My buddy had both the pink floyd and afterparty, and looked wildly different so it makes me wonder if people were originally even buying the real piece. From what I've heard it never grew for anyone including wwc.

Thats the same thing I’ve noticed. After party has lots of purple in it.
