Finally mine look to be growing. I started with 3 a few months back and only counted 2 new polyps in 4 months. Over the last 2 weeks I've made it to 12 or so!

Who else has these and what is your experience with them?

My parameters:

Alk 8.3
Cal 415
Mag 1350
Nitrate 5ppm
Phosphate .03 - .10

This cluster is at the bottom of my aquarium in a medium flow area. I have a 4bulb t-5 with kessil a160.

I wanted to show mine off and I'd love to see others' colonies. Please post pictures.

These are known to be a slow grower, even slower for some. But my favorite zoa.

Roughly same parameters as OP, but I run higher nitrates. Lighting is a Radion XR15Pro flanked by 2 Blue+ T5's. I had the same experience as JustDewwit......frag kind of puttered along for a few months, maybe even lost a polyp, but then settled in and regularly grows new polyps. I have not fragged it yet, but the way they are growing, I am tempted.

My zoa tank is cycling. If you frag these hit me up, ill be ready in a month or so lol

Mine i had them for 10 month from a 4 head frag , they grow like weed in my tank , 90 gal 2 xr15/2t5 blue plus . I do have over 10 plugs with 6-10 heads and a 2 1/2 inch disk full .....

Nice looking colony!
May I ask what program/intensity you are running your XR15 at? I have one on my frag tank and am not sure about my settings and height above the frags.

A/b plus mod to 2 ramp blues morning and night , 75% with diffusers 10hr, 6hr t5 . Basically WWC setup and it works great for me ...

Bought mine from worldwidecorals about 3 months ago and I have already fragged my AOI's twice :-) alkalinity 10.4, calcium is 450, magnesium 1400, running 2

Just got mine in March, they've added 2-3 heads since.

Same exact path I'm on.....started with 3 AOI and they struggled for awhile then adjusted. And now look solid and have added a few new heads.

Hopefully ours will take off like some of the others had mentioned above. Crazy how some Zoa or Paly multiply so easy for me while others take their time.

Have 4 nice paly's arriving tomorrow morning from Cali Kid again and can't wait to check them out......WWC Superstar, Soul Sucker, Nirvana, and Vamp.

Direct feeding reef roids (or similar food) definitely helps them grow out faster.

I broadcast feed all my small polyp zoas reef roids and my Palys get a nice blast of brine shrimp every couple days. Everything grows well so I’m sure the AOI’s will love it. I haven’t direct fed my smaller polyp zoas as I never see them actually close on food.
