wwc bounce frag

i tried to frag my wwv bounce shroom about an hr ago. he had a mouth and foot, i cut right thru the center with a new razor blade. just one quick cut. he was a little bigger than a quarter, but he shrunk to about the size of a pencil eraser lol. im assuming that is normal? his foot is on a piece of rock about 1/4" across. onc he heals and there is two shrooms, do i run the tiny piece of rock thru a bandsaw, or how do i separate it? this is my first time doing this so any comments or personal experiances would be valued. thank u guys

Let me ask you this, why you did this?
You know by time they just multiply more rapid than you can cut and heal.
Now you running the chance to lose both.

i was under the assumption you could cut to frag as long as they had a mouth and foot? i wasnt aware that they shoot out babies faster naturally... :/

Better throw it in a low to no flow area and don't even look at it for a couple of weeks. Diesel is right, they will split naturally when they are happy, and they do it frequently.

Many time ppl try to frag to early to make a quick $$ as the bounce are still hot but that doesn't last.
Cutting in half comes with a risk I just hope yours will make it.
After a couple of weeks of healing you can snap the disk it's on in half with a bone cutter and than you have two.
Right now you need to let it heal and that depends how long that is going to take.

Agreed with what everyone else is saying... I have thought of fragging my mushrooms in that way before i wont lie... But there is WAY to much risk that comes with it. The chance to loose the entire shroom just in attempt to get 2? Why do that when you can just wait and let it split. And in my experience from mushrooms getting crushed by other rocks, They grow and split faster then they heal.

If you cut it in half and leave it on the same rock it will more than likely just grow back together. If you want to propagate you would need to separate the two halves so they don't grow back into one another. I have bounces for a while and have never had one naturally propagate. I have never ordered one that looked round and naturally propagated either. That being said, I am just letting mine grow out because I am worried I would kill it if I cut it.

You did what you did already, so I don't see any reason to pile on about it. Good luck with it

It definitely gets done all the time and I hope you roll good dice and get two nice shrooms out of the deal!

i suppose time will tell guys !! whats done is done, i hope it turns out well. hes just hanging, i did it yesterday at around 8pm so i suppose ill see some evidence one way or another probably within the next 3 days or so.
